30.25 lb Aqueduct StriperIt has been over 30 years fishing the California Aqueduct. I prefer Trilene 15lb test line in the summer and 20lb test in the winter and not a lot of weight for the Freshwater stripers or catfish. I personally believe that the aqueuct changes from year to year; meaning, if gates are open (water is flowing) and you should land a good one. The aqueduct is a hit and miss though, stripers use the aqueduct as we do like the 14 fwy. Cut backs on water, cuts back on landing the Stripers, that is why I say try different areas, as in bends and curves along with fishing the rough side first then the calm side of the aqueduct. Trying different techniques and retreives always is a plus to all. Please check out the fishing tips and aqueduct Striper and Catfish reports on the left side of this home page and please sign my guest book. Thank You, and hope you enjoy!

Try different retrieves - it's all in the wrist.
